BETA Excels at the Convention

Max Bruner Middle School recently attended Florida’s Beta Club Convention in Orlando, Florida, and received many accolades and awards.  All of the students who attended the convention had to participate in at least one event. There were many awards.  

Congratulations to the Bruner Beta Club for their success at the convention.


 

Congratulations to the Talent show Winners

talent crew(click on the image for a larger view) Thank you to all of the participants of the 2015 Talent Show. There was a lot of talent at the show. Congratulations winners17to the winners. 1st Place Winner - Lee Piliin, 2nd Place Darby Ellis, and 3rd Place Abilgail Kincaid. The winners received a gift card and will perform for an event for the City of Fort Walton Beach.

On Friday, May 30, 2015 Michelle Cook’s 8th grade web design students presented their websites to a packed audience.  The websites were created about their ethnicity.  The students could not use any ready-made templates, copyright laws were followed, and they had to dress up in ethnic wear.

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

breakfast hudsonOn Monday, April 20, 2015, Mrs Hudson, Principal, honored Bruner Middle School's volunteers with an appreciation breakfast, catered by Golden Corral of Fort Walton Beach.   Each volunteer was presented with a volunteerscertification of appreciation.  The general manager of Olive Garden and his staff was honored with a plage for their contributions to Bruner. Special thank you to Mrs. Jackson, Okaloosa County Superintendent, and Northwest Florida Daily News for attending.

This is the first of many celebrations we have at Bruner to recognize guestour community partners who help us make things happen for our students.    A special thank you to Mr. Cordero who worked along with Mrs. Hudson, tirelessly, to help make the day a success.
