Half of Knowledge Is to Know Where to Find It
The Bruner Media Center supports the curriculum of Bruner Middle School by providing books, periodicals, audiovisual software, equipment, and computers.
Books are located with the Athena software system. Additional books may be located and borrowed by using SUNLINK, the Florida school union catalog.
The Media Center is open daily from 7:15 until 2:45. During class periods, students must have a pass from their classroom teacher to enter the media center. Students should sign in and out at the front circulation counter. Books may be checked out for a 2-week period and renewed for 2 more weeks. Periodicals and software do not circulate to students.
The internet is available for all students who have signed the district internet agreement form. Copies on the computer printers or on the copy machine are available for 10 cents each.
The school store is located in the Media Center and remains open during the school day. Students may purchase pencils, pens, paper, poster board, and miscellaneous school supplies for a small charge.

Bruner Middle School participates in Scholastic Reading Counts, a literature-based reading motivation and management program. Students read RC books and take computer-managed quizzes. Successful quiz scores earn points, and students are allowed to exchange points for prizes. Check in the media center for current prize availability.
