The Okaloosa District School Board establishes the School Advisory Council of Max Bruner, Jr. Middle School. The Council’s purpose shall be to serve in an advisory capacity to the school principal, assist in the development of educational programs and assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan. These and other actions shall be accomplished in accordance with Florida statutes 1001.42(16), 1008.345 and 1008.385. The Council shall not assume any powers of duties now reserved by Florida Statutes for the school board or its’ Administrative or Instructional Staff.

The composition of the Council, selection of council members, responsibilities of the Council, and operation of the council shall be in accordance with the policy, guidelines and definitions stated in the current edition of the School Advisory Council Section of the Okaloosa District Schools Procedure Manual for the School Improvement and Educational Accountability.

All meetings will be open, public, and subject to the “Sunshine Law.”
