Academics

Bruner, a comprehensive middle school, offers a variety of student programs and courses. Learning is a priority here, and the administration, faculty, and staff support a well rounded master schedule so middle grade students build firm foundations for high school and beyond.

"Students, as you progress through a sea of orange and blue...... get involved, stay focused, and ask for assistance"......Mr. Spolski

Bruner is proud to present ther Young Men of Tomorrow for 2009-2010.   The Young Men of Tomorrow is an initiative the district began last year to create leadership experiences for African American males.   The boys are in grades 3-12 and have been nominated by their principals and teachers to be on this select team.   The “YMT” parents are also extremely involved, which also assists in our efforts to increase minority parental involvement. These young men have attended several trainings over the summer and  serve as “male ambassadors” for the schools and the community.  The YMT assisted with the Educational Summit and the Mentoring Telethon.  They are coached and mentored by two outstanding men in our community - Minister Jerry Jones from Striving for Perfection Ministries and Mr. Jimmy James from the Department of Juvenile Justice.
